Our Process

Our 7 step strategy

Tools of the trades

Delivered from start to finish by our experts

Our extensive wood shop is spread across 8 active machining centres for the manufacture of plywood and solid wood components. We can offer a variety of finishing options including veneer, laminates, wood stain and lacquering.

The stars of the show are our hydraulic presses. With 32 presses, and over 200 moulds readily available we can form various laminations of beech and birch veneers to make plywood components. But, what is most impressive about these machines is that some were commissioned in WWII to make the wings of the Mosquito aircraft and are still operating strongly today.

Our mill has extensive capabilities for moulding, shaping, planing and sanding solid wood, alongside our 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC routers, we offer a perfect match for producing various components such as frames and arms, as well as making detailed cuts and designs.

We have four high precision CNC machines capable of cutting soft materials such as fabric, leather, carpet, foam, and soft plastics. Our Gerber Z1 is the next generation automated cutting system. The cutting head accommodates three tools at one time, to minimise tool changes, and can house a pen to precisely mark pattern pieces.

Our iEcho’s BK3, and BK4 offer precision and efficiency reach cutting speeds of up to 1800mm/s, perfect for mass production as well as short runs and sample making.

Our expanding team of sewing machinists have experience with every one of our industrial sewing machines, such as drop feed, walking foot, and needle feed machines to handle a range of fabrics including but not limited to leather, heavyweight, knitted and woven fabrics.

For a flawless finish, we have twin needle, and lockstitch twin post machines, perfect for decorative and/or seam enforcing finishes on upholstery pieces. We can also offer alternative finishing options with our heavy duty binding machines, and chain stitch elasticators that can house up to 6 needles.

We have assembly stations at various points of manufacture, from plotting fixing locations, and fitting fasteners such as t-nuts, to building frames and cores mid production, and final product assembly at the end of the line.

Upholstery is more than just fitting fabric – it’s where the form and feel of the furniture truly come to life. With ergonomic setups, specialized tools, and a team that understands the nuances of tension, texture, and tailoring, our upholstery stations ensure that every piece leaving the line looks as good as it feels.

Our two C-GEX automated upholstery presses deliver fast, consistent results for padded panels and components. Using controlled heat and pressure, they produce a tight, uniform finish ideal for high-volume production. Programmable settings ensure repeatable quality, making these stations a key asset for efficiency without compromising on finish.
